At Tamarack Day Camp, located near Denville, our Teen Travel Program is tailored for 13 to 15-year-olds. This program uniquely combines on-camp activities and day trips, specifically designed for 7th, 8th, and 9th graders. During camp days, teens engage in a pre-set itinerary that includes activities such as ropes courses, which challenge their problem-solving skills and physical agility, and free swim sessions that promote fitness and relaxation. Additionally, they participate in a variety of sports and creative activities, all under the guidance of our experienced counselors. This mix of on-site adventures and external trips provides a comprehensive summer experience, fostering personal growth and social skills.
At Tamarack Day Camp, near Denville, safety is paramount in our Teen Travel Program. To ensure the highest level of safety and responsibility, each participant and their parents must sign a Teen Travel Behavior Contract before the teens embark on any trips. The program, like all divisions at Tamarack, is managed by a dedicated Division Head who coordinates activities both on-site and during travels. Our staff, specifically trained for the Teen Travel Program, are adept at supervising teens in public spaces and are skilled in addressing the distinct challenges of early adolescence. This ensures a secure and structured environment, allowing teens to explore and learn with confidence.
