Our senior campers have access to advanced Choice options, ensuring a summer filled with diverse and engaging experiences. A special feature of our program is the Senior Late Nights, where campers enjoy extended hours at camp. These evenings include a special dinner, extra swim time, more games, and unique events. The night ends with a campfire and S’mores under the stars.

Senior Athletics
Our camp offers an exciting array of athletic adventures for seniors, catering to a wide range of interests. Every week, our senior groups get to enjoy a diverse selection of sports, including soccer, football, pickleball, lacrosse, archery, basketball, hockey, skateboarding, mountain biking, and more, all on our expansive fields. Our dedicated athletic specialists lead these sessions, dedicating time to teach new skills and engaging the campers in games that reinforce those skills.

Whether they’re learning to ride a bike or honing advanced skills in any sport, our Tamarack Specialists are there every step of the way to guide and support them. Our Arts Studios cater to children aged 10-12, offering air-conditioned classrooms and instruction by skilled artists. Campers engage in a wide range of creative activities, including Ceramics, Music, Cooking, Drama, Nature Exploration, Dance, Digital Photography, Jewelry Making, and more, with new experiences each week.
Highlighting our summer, the Senior Girl groups perform in a Dance and Drama Production during the sixth week of camp. This event is held at a local venue with professional sound and lighting, showcasing the artistic talents of our campers in a memorable performance. Learn to Swim
Tamarack Day Camp, located near West Orange, features a standout Learn to Swim Program that captivates both children aged 10-12 and their parents. Our state-of-the-art aquatic facility includes a new swimming area with eight 25-meter lanes.
Each morning, senior campers attend a 40-minute swim lesson with our certified instructors and group counselors. We focus on skill-based instruction, challenging swimmers at every level. Our swim instructors are annually trained, using American Red Cross standards and leveraging over 25 years of experience in swim education. In the afternoons, seniors return to the pool for Free Swim sessions, a favorite daily activity.
Ropes Courses
Tamarack Day Camp, conveniently located near West Orange, offers a dynamic Ropes Course that is especially popular among children aged 10-12. The course features exciting elements like a 200-foot Zipline, Climbing Walls, and a Giant Swing. For those looking for more advanced challenges, our High Ropes course and Repel School provide opportunities to learn sophisticated climbing and rappelling skills.
Safety is a top priority at our camp. Our ropes courses are inspected by the builders before each season starts, ensuring the highest safety standards. Certified ropes instructors conduct daily safety checks and provide expert guidance to ensure a safe and thrilling experience for all campers.
