Creative Arts

A highlight of the program is the annual Dance and Drama Production, where every Junior Girl group performs a choreographed routine for family and friends. Designed to build confidence and strong swimming skills, the program takes place in a well-equipped aquatic facility that accommodates all ability levels — from beginners still gaining comfort in the water to experienced swimmers refining technique.
Each morning, campers take part in a structured 40-minute instructional swim led by certified swim instructors and supported by Tamarack counselors. Lessons are organized by skill level rather than age, allowing each child to progress at their own pace and focus on developing the fundamentals they need most.
Our instructors bring over 25 years of combined experience and teach using methods aligned with American Red Cross standards, ensuring safety, consistency, and measurable improvement throughout the season.
In the afternoon, Adventurers return to the pool for free swim, where they can practice their skills, play with friends, and enjoy the water in a relaxed and supervised setting.

Ropes Courses

The experience begins on the Confidence Course, set five feet above the ground, where campers learn to use belay systems and practice the same elements they’ll encounter later on the High Ropes Course. This gradual approach helps children gain comfort with equipment, balance, and communication while working as a team.
As campers advance, they take on the High Ropes Course, which features exciting elements such as a 200-foot Zipline, Horizontal and Vertical Climbing Walls, and the Giant Swing — each designed to encourage courage, coordination, and problem-solving.
Safety is central to every aspect of the program. All courses are inspected before each season by the original builders, and certified ropes instructors perform daily safety checks. During every session, trained staff guide and monitor participants, ensuring that each camper has a safe and positive experience from start to finish.
