Learn to Swim
Tamarack Day Camp near Ledgewood offers a comprehensive Learn-to-Swim Program in our 12,000 square foot aquatic facility. Designed for children aged 6-8, the pool features varying depths from 1 to 6 feet, creating a safe and effective learning environment.
Our certified swim instructors conduct 40-minute lessons each morning, focusing on skill level rather than age to ensure appropriate challenges and support for each child. In the afternoons, we provide free swim sessions to encourage practice and build confidence in the water.
Drawing on American Red Cross standards and over 25 years of experience, our program is well-established and effective. We continually train our instructors to maintain high-quality teaching and help every child learn to swim successfully.
Ropes Course
Tamarack Day Camp, located near Ledgewood, welcomes young adventurers aged 6-8 to our exciting ropes course. We introduce campers to the thrill of ziplining and other aerial challenges in a controlled, safe environment. Starting on our Tamarack Confidence Course, which is just 5 feet above ground, campers learn to navigate ropes while safely harnessed, building confidence as they master each element.
The course is designed to allow children to progress at their own pace, with each level mirroring more complex challenges they will encounter on higher courses. Our safety protocols are rigorous; the ropes courses are inspected before each season by professional constructors and daily by our certified ropes instructors to ensure the highest safety standards.
