High school Summer Camp Dover

Tamarack Day Camp offers a 6-day off-site leadership program specifically for 16–17-year-olds. This program is designed to give participants a meaningful experience that builds leadership, teamwork, and responsibility through both training and outdoor challenges. Located near Dover, NJ, it includes a multi-day hiking and camping trip led by experienced staff from Tamarack Day Camp and Windsor Mountain.

Throughout the trip, participants work in teams to plan, problem-solve, and support one another. They take on leadership roles in real situations—setting up camp, preparing meals, navigating trails, and working together to meet daily goals. These experiences help teens develop communication, confidence, and decision-making skills that are difficult to gain in a traditional setting.

After completing the program, participants return with a concrete achievement that can strengthen college applications and job resumes. More importantly, they gain a better understanding of what it means to take initiative and lead others in a real-world environment.
